World Book Night took place on the 5th March 2011 and I was one of the givers! I gave out Stuart: A Life Backwards by Alexander Masters. I found this to be a brilliant opportunity to get people to read more; so I decided to give them out to my year at University as I wanted everyone’s opinions to change! Photos taken by Marisa Hanks:

Went through the tube and came across this lovely poster for a new film called ‘Submarine’! Can’t get enough of it! Just the block colour on top of a really well photographed imaged along with this well thought out layout works so well!! A brilliant piece of graphic design!
Purchased this book today featuring a collection of 196 beautiful soulful black & white images taken around the early 1960’s. The images capture a brilliant amount of emotion and are amazing to look at. Even better was that this book is £50 and I managed to get it for £5! BARGAIN! Took a few photos of the book. Would really recommend even looking at this photographer. Sadly DeCarava died in 2009 at the age of 89 but I’m sure his work will definitely live on.
